Build on the incredible success of Q by launching Mojo, a complementary, more understated music title.
‘It’s our confirmed intention to pitch a wang-dang-doodle – all night long if necessary’. So said Mojo editor Paul DuNoyer, upon the title’s launch. As creative director, I drew the logo, created the template and designed the first dozen issues along with the launch marketing material.
The ad campaign was written by Editorial Director David Hepworth, setting the tone for what managing editor Mark Ellen described as a ‘hand-crafted and organic’ editorial experience.
PPA title of the year twice over, Mojo delivered exceptional music journalism and design to a standard that in the opinion of many has never been equalled. It remains the UK’s best selling music monthly.
