Brief

Redesign this famous magazine to reflect the exceptional wealth of the audience and heritage of the brand.

Approach

Collaborating with new editor Joe Dunn, the project successfully re-established the title’s reputation for refinement, good taste and unexpected speed. Development focussed on covers, where multiple solutions were tested ahead of time, reducing stress all round. Animated videos were produced for published work, featuring original music by the legendary Ray Fury. Integrated subscription marketing campaigns were created, along with a new positioning for e-commerce.

The famous logo was refined to deliver greater standout on both print and screen, and a sophisticated high-end design was created, increasing impact and engagement across every page and department.

Outcomes

The title has gone from strength to strength, reporting a surge in both newsstand sales and reader satisfaction.
